ok we live or die by the validity of our raid points. It is a currency that people will work many hours for and as soon as their validity is jeopardised then people will leave.

So the rules are for the raid leaders, and these are just draft.

No points shall be given to anyone for no reason, that includes other raid leaders, admins or owners. People have already invested time to get points.

The timer is started the moment you step, not before and is stopped as soon as the last mob is dead.

Any item of value should be auctioned, there has to be a reason people raid where they dont need items. This reason is the points. The auction / points system works on reward for time spent. All items should be auctioned, where an item is not bid for it should be made FFA or raffled. It is important we add as many sinks for points as there are opportunities to earn them. By giving away all loot then we make the points worthless.

If a raid is going to be run with raffled loot then the opportunity to roll for the loot is reward enough and points should not be given.

What do you think?

I think we need to define a complete list of items !bid will be used for, and leaders endorsing them. What i see at the moment is points points points, but no one having an idea what they are for exactly.

I've mainly used raffles so far because *cough* the raidleaders did that yesterday too. In the first few raids there's a problem that everyone has equal amounts of points but after a while (now already) it's varied enough to be useful with bidding.
I think all items that are loot-worthy should be auctioned with points and only raffled or ffa when noone wants to bid on it. Except BD keys from hags, they should go to the raidleader and be saved for doing BD later.

FotD- should be auctioned, rare item and should be given to those that have shown that they work hard with the bot, and have earned points.

I know it hasn't been decided, but imo, everything that drops in a SL/ai Raid should be auctioned. In game chat there was discussion about froobs not getting as much chance to earn points, once Atlantean bot expands to other non froob things, this is partly true, if SL/Ai raid items are not raffled it will lead all the Sloob people spending points (there is a chance they would have considerably more than froobs) on the RK raids, for the notum tanks/specs ect...
anyways just my opinion. :)

It's a nice list, I think it's mostly good. But I do think Azure and Rust pitted rings should be auctioned, it's quite a popular armour during Merc raids. I'd also like Proactive and Reactive auctioned, and if noone wants to bid then it can be still raffled. This should be determined per raid though.
PoP and RoP aren't very special or wanted so I guess raffling would do. Although for all items that can't be bid on, it will suck for the person that has done a lot of raids and wants to spend his points but can't just because the item is not popular.
I'm not sure about others, but personally I'd rather save my points for nodrop items that I can't get on my own than yesdrop items like notum tank that I can just buy.

I've been thinking about the level-locks a bit.
Up to now we had certain level restrictions who may roll for tl 5 / lvl 175 / tl 6 locked stuff and I guess we should keep that for raffles.
What about auctions though?
It is possible to transfer your raidpoints to a lvl 1 char, so should we continue with the same schema here or allow everyone to use his/her points at will?

I think we should continue with the level-locks, but I'd like to hear your opinions there.

Well when i'm buying something for when i'm old, it doesn't mean it's money spend badly.. so i don't think we should apply these to bids/actions like you call em.

On the other hand, we do still have people in the range wanting it, and they should get the best chance, so keeping em isn't a bad idea either :)
